Ekurhuleni Artisans Skills & Training College realised in 2006 already that there is a huge gap in the education system and that is where we are already making a difference and will continue to do so in the future. Our programmes are developed to equip the person with essential skills in a workshop environment over a short period of time. On completion of the course the trainee will be competent in a specific field and will be able to start working immediately, either as an employee of a large corporation or even as an entrepreneur, and as a result also providing jobs to other less fortunate individuals.

How long are the short courses?
Average 15 days

How much is your deposit?
Any amount, as long as full amount is paid before the course commences.
Is the College accredited?
Yes, by major accreditations such as DHET, QCTO, CETA and many other relevant accreditations.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, only course commences after full payment received
When do I receive certificate after completing my course?
Immediately upon completion
Is the EASTC certificate recognized by employers?
Yes, Eastc has a well-established presence with key mining companies, as well as a database of employers willing to absorb learners if space available.
Do you have proper accommodation? And how much?
Yes, cost is R1200.00
Is it safe for students to stay at our accommodations in Kempton Park?
Yes, we ensure safety and 24hr security at our premises and accommodation
What are the courses that are in demand?
Plumbing, Aircon, Electrical, Welding, Boilermaking, Fitting, Bricklaying
Do you assist with job placement?
Yes we do, but not guarantee or promise, depending on Market conditions.
How does one get a learnership or apprenticeship?
By applying when these are advertised by EASTC. The applicant must submit their application according to the Terms and conditions of that particular learnership or apprenticeship.
Do you have student loans, and do you accept NSFAS?
No student loans. We currently do not accept NSFAS
Are 15 days enough to become an Artisan?
15 days gives you semi-skilled qualification, not implying you are a fully qualified artisan, please refer to 7 steps to become a fully qualified artisan.
